A family break in the Alps – enjoy the stunning mountain landscape – spend time with friends and family – relax and re-charge your batteries
Here in the heart of the Alps, every single moment is packed with fascinating experiences for the whole family. During the summer months, guests can choose from a wide range of excursions in the surrounding region, or simply head straight for the mountains using the network of hiking trails leaving from outside our front door!
The list of things to do and see in the Ötztal Valley Alps simply goes on and on: take a walk up to the picturesque Piburger See lake high above the village of Ötz; visit Umhausen and discover the Stuibenfall, the largest waterfall in the Tyrol, go for a dip in the nearby mountain lake or find out how the inhabitants of the valley lived in days gone by at the Ötzi Dorf working museum; check out the new Freizeit Arena leisure centre in Sölden, or hop on one of the nearby lifts and let yourself be whisked up into the heart of the mountains; or, alternatively, enjoy breathtaking views as you drive along the Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road. With an extensive network of walking paths and high-Alpine hikes, extreme cross-country mountain biking trails and smooth roads for cyclists and plenty of fixed-rope via ferrata climbing routes, there really is nowhere better than the Ötztal Valley to get out and about and enjoy everything nature has to offer.
